Frequently Asked Questions

What is recovery coaching?

Recovery coaching is a personalized, supportive partnership designed to help you break free from disordered eating and build a healthier relationship with food and your body. Unlike traditional therapy, recovery coaching focuses on actionable strategies, practical tools, and real-time support to guide you through challenges and toward lasting change. Together, we’ll identify your goals, navigate barriers, and create a step-by-step plan tailored to your unique journey. Recovery coaching provides the accountability, encouragement, and guidance you need to move forward with confidence.

How is this different than therapy?

While therapy focuses on exploring and healing deeper emotional wounds or past experiences, recovery coaching is action-oriented and future-focused. Coaching helps you bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be by providing practical tools, personalized strategies, and real-time support to create lasting change.

Recovery coaching complements therapy by focusing on building skills, creating actionable plans, and addressing everyday challenges, like navigating meals or improving body image. It’s about turning insight into action and offering guidance and accountability every step of the way.

Note: Recovery coaching is not mental health treatment and is not a substitute for therapy.

What age groups do you work with?

I specialize in working with young adult women, but do accept some adolescent clients on a case by case basis.

Do you offer one-time coaching?

My coaching packages require a 3-month commitment to ensure sufficient time to make progress and meet your goals. Occasionally, I will offer VIP days or one-time intensive sessions. Schedule a discovery call for more information!

Do you only work with eating disorders?

I am an eating disorder and body image specialist, but I also have a special interest in working with individuals who struggle with perfectionism and rigidity. I also have experience with clients in the entertainment industry who are struggling with identity and career distress.

Recovery coaching is a service specifically geared to help individuals with disordered eating and body image issues, but a formal eating disorder diagnosis is not required.
